Ingredients:
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions:
- Cook the Noodles: Boil the lasagna noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion until the beef is browned. Drain any excess fat, then mix in the BBQ sauce, diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Layer the Lasagna: In a greased baking dish, place 3 lasagna noodles at the bottom, followed by half of the beef mixture, half of the bacon, and 1 cup of cheddar cheese. Repeat these layers, ending with a final layer of noodles on top.
- Top & Bake: Sprinkle the remaining cheese and bacon over the top. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes. Remove the foil for the last 10 minutes of baking to allow the cheese to melt and become golden.
- Garnish & Serve: Allow the lasagna to cool for about 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro before slicing and serving.
