  • 3 Tbsp dry strawberry gelatin (e.g., Jello – about half of a 3 oz box)
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries (halved or quartered, depending on size)
  • Whipped cream, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and bake the frozen pie crust according to the package instructions. Prick the bottom and sides of the crust with a fork to prevent puffing. For extra precaution, place parchment paper inside the crust and add a cup of dried beans or rice before baking. Let the crust cool completely.
  2. In a small saucepan, whisk together water, sugar, and cornstarch. Heat over medium until the mixture boils, then reduce heat and simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
  3. Stir in the dry strawberry gelatin and let the mixture cool, stirring occasionally.
