French Onion Beef and Noodles

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 pound beef stew meat (cut into bite-size pieces)

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 (10.5 oz) can French onion soup

1 (10.5 oz) can beef consommé or beef broth

1 packet dry onion soup mix

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

8 oz egg noodles

½ cup sour cream (optional, for creamier texture)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

1. Sear the Beef:

In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef stew meat and sprinkle with onion powder, salt, and pepper. Sear until browned on all sides, about 5–6 minutes.

2. Add Liquids and Simmer:

Stir in the French onion soup, beef consommé (or broth), dry onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 30–40 minutes, or until the beef is tender.

3. Cook the Noodles:

While the beef simmers, cook the egg noodles in a separate pot according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

4. Combine and Finish:

Once the beef is tender, stir in the cooked noodles and sour cream (if using). Mix until everything is well coated and heated through.

5. Serve:

Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot

Enjoy!
